With plant flours, flowers and fibers we are developing novel pellets understanding the science of lignan molecules.
Used for fiber and oil, the now licensed plant in Florida will be processed for a multitude of reasons!
The effects of cellulases on hemp fiber can be used to modify the properties of the fiber for different applications. For example, cellulases can be used to make hemp fiber more suitable for use in textiles, as the reduced strength and increased flexibility of the fiber make it easier to process. Cellulases can also be used to make hemp fiber more absorbent, which makes it suitable for use in applications such as diapers and sanitary products.
The enterolignans, enterodiol and enterolactone are formed by intestinal bacteria on lignan precursors found in plants . Some of the lignan precursors include pinoresinol, lariciresinol, secoisolariciresinol and matairesinol. Secoisolariciresinol and matairesinol were among the first lignan precursors identified in the human diet and are therefore the most extensively studied. Lignan precursors are found in a wide variety of plants, including hemp seeds, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, legumes, whole grains, fruit and vegetables.
